Lee nodded, mind racing as she frantically tried to remember everything she knew about treating brain damage. It wasn't something she dealt with while working for Companions, and anything that severe the clinic on Persephone would have sent to a hospital. She knew the obvious, textbook treatments, but 'Dira would have had half a dozen mad ideas, and at least one of them would have worked, she was sure of it. Perhaps it might be worth it to subtly drop her a line-if she could figure out a way to keep it from being traced if Dira decided the old friendship wasn't worth the risk.
In the meantime, the simple and textbook. She kept her expression tightly controlled with long practice in bedside manner. "Yes. Under the circumstances I'd suggest we start with less drug reliant treatments-just because we're well stocked now doesn't mean we always will be, and stopping partway through a course of drugs can be as harmful as the thing they're meant to prevent." She smiled wryly. "Do you want to focus exclusively on the memory loss, or should we work on the headaches and insomnia as well?"

He considered, watching the doctor for a moment, then drawing one knee up to his chest.

"I need to be able to sleep. That's the most important right now."

Lee smiled and nodded. "Of course." She took the opportunity to sit in a nearby chair before continuing. "Now, I do have a rather lovely supply of sleeping pills that I can give you if you wish- it's the simplest solution. But, as I mentioned, I have no idea if I'll be able to keep you supplied with them, and so I would suggest developing good sleeping habits as a back up if nothing else."
She spared a glance for the happily sleeping pig in the corner before continuing. "What that will entail is developing a specific ritual for going to sleep, and probably some relaxation exercises. If you train yourself that, for example, reading for half an hour followed by a shower and meditation means time to sleep, then it will be easier for you to do so. It doesn't really matter what the ritual is, though as a general rule stimulating activities shouldn't happen too close to sleeping and you should keep your bed specifically for sleep."

He couldn't resist a rakish grin at her last comment. "No promises there, I'm afraid. Well. I can try a routine, at least, maybe." He shook his head again. He would have to write it down.... maybe he already had. It had been odd to go to a room that was his, filed with his things (what he had left, in any case) where he had clearly been living at least some, and remember nothing about it at all. But maybe he'd left himself some notes. "But maybe not for tonight."

Lee laughed, blushing a tiny amount at the suggestive grin. "Routine is good. Do you have a specific reason for not wanting to do it tonight? Because otherwise I'd say get it started as soon as possible."

He raised his eyebrows. "Awful late, is it not?"

But then he shrugged. Why not. He could try and do... something. Clean his guns, check the cortex, maybe. It could at least be useful, or distracting. "Well, we will see. but doctor," he leaned forward a bit to give her a more careful look before sliding down off the scanner. "Please try to remember - this bay is only....functionally yours."

Lee was honestly confused for a moment at the sudden shift in conversation. She was so firmly rooted in her doctor headspace that she couldn't quite think how to properly respond. It wasn't like she'd ever been in this scenario anyway. Sure, she'd worked for other people her entire career, but as a general rule doctors weren't as possessive of their clinics as Captains apparently were of their ships. Or maybe it was just Weihan?
She looked away and to the ground before answering, sounding rather downcast all of the sudden. "Yes, of course Captain. I didn't mean to offend."

"Good - I just wanted to be clear." He offered her a tired but genuine smile before stooping to retrieve Lingling, who tried defiantly to nestle further into the comfort of her pillow with a whining grunt. "Oh, come here, princess... I'll get you to your real bed, hmm?"

He nodded to Jones again. "Goodnight, Doctor."
