Aleyn and Vedran, reunited at last

* Aleyn arrives at Vedran's apartment at 2 in the morning, and hesitates only slightly before knocking quietly on the door.
<Vedran> (You could probably see a light on in his window, at least)
<Aleyn> (whew)
* Aleyn feels less bad about knocking, then
* Vedran wonders what's up now, and will go and check the peep hole before flinging the door open
<Vedran> Oh my Lady of Fortune - you're back!
* Vedran says as he reaches out for you
<Aleyn> Oh Vedran...
* Aleyn holds his arms out for you too.
<Aleyn> We're all back, we're safe...
* Vedran pulls you to him feeling heavy with relief
* Aleyn clings.
* Vedran just holds you for a second while he processes, then pulls you inside, , tilting his head up to yours...
* Aleyn kisses you.
* Aleyn is bearded (about 2 weeks' worth anyway) and definitely... pungent, let's say. Travel sweat + smoke + weird elemental plane smells
* Vedran doens't care particularly in that moment, just so relieved and happy to have you back, to know everyone is okay....
* Aleyn kisses your lips, your cheeks, your neck, whatever's accessible.
<Aleyn> I'm sorry it took so long. It was... gods, it was strange, but we made it through.
* Aleyn murmurs between kisses
<Vedran> Oh thanks all the gods...
<Aleyn> I thought about you all the time.
* Vedran is still sort of stunned , and wavers between just holding you and accepting your kisses, and kissing you back with intense passion
* Vedran nods
* Vedran is keeping his voice down, but he is wearing a light robe and very little else
* Aleyn is very definitely pleased to see you, that's probably obvious by now >.>
<Vedran> ...did you *just* get back?
* Aleyn nods.
<Aleyn> I came straight here... I just... I needed to see you.
<Vedran> I'm glad
<Aleyn> I didn't know if you would still be up...
<Aleyn> why *are* you still up?
<Vedran> I missed you... I was so worried, for everyone, and that I wouldn't see you..
<Vedran> Oh.
<Vedran> Long day @_@
<Vedran> couldn't sleep
* Aleyn looks a little worried
<Vedran> ..lucky, I guess?
* Vedran smiles
<Aleyn> I'm so lucky.
* Aleyn agrees, and kisses you again.
* Vedran does look tired, the way he gets when he's been worrying about big things and other people's problesm (so almost always)
<Aleyn> Can you... do you want to sit down, or ... lie down, or talk, or... I don't even know, I just know I want to be close to you, and anything else doesn't matter.
* Aleyn trips over his words in his haste to get them out.
* Vedran reaches up to push some shaggy hair back out of your face
<Vedran> you weren't exaggerating the travel dirt, were you...
* Aleyn smiles
* Vedran smiles as well
<Aleyn> I didn't expect it would be quite this extensive.
* Aleyn admits.
<Aleyn> you're lucky, I managed a shave a couple weeks or so ago, and a change of clothes.
<Vedran> did you want to get cleaned up? Are you hungry?
<Vedran> Macen is still at my father's....
<Aleyn> I am... filthy, and also hungry. is there any way to get food and bathed at the same time?
* Vedran nods
<Vedran> There's a public bath not far
<Vedran> and there's food places still open
<Aleyn> We could pick up something to eat on the way.
* Aleyn just assumes you're coming too
<Vedran> if you don't mind questionable fried things
<Aleyn> Not at all. You don't know questionable food until you've been to the Elemental Chaos.
* Vedran kisses you again
* Aleyn kisses back.
<Vedran> just give me a minute to get dressed
<Aleyn> Seriously though -if I never see another mushroom or seaweed soup, that's fine with me.
* Aleyn lets you go, so you can dress, only a little reluctantly.
* Vedran will emerge after dressing rather hastily, but he still manages to look good, and is wearing the waistcoat you bought for him
* Aleyn 's eyes go a little wider.
<Aleyn> Oh.. you got it
<Vedran> (No jacket though)
* Vedran nods
<Vedran> Thank you
<Aleyn> I didn't know if Brenn would have.. well.. you're welcome, I hope you like it... you look amazing.
<Vedran> of course I like it -they're beautiful clothes
<Aleyn> they all fit okay?
<Vedran> ....they helped me feel like you weren't so far away :/
* Vedran nods
* Aleyn blushes, smiling.
<Aleyn> I meant for you to be able to wear them and think of me...I didn't mean it to be quite so...far, though.
<Aleyn> um...
<Aleyn> can I, is there anything I could take, a robe or something, to change into after, so I don't have to put these back on?
<Vedran> oh! Right
<Vedran> yes
<Vedran> it might not fit quite right...
<Aleyn> it's just temporary
* Vedran nods
* Vedran will find you something appropriate
<Aleyn> (and bath supplies?
* Vedran will grab those too, yes >.>
<Vedran> they have some things there but... mine are nicer >.>
<Aleyn> I bet they are.
<Vedran> is that okay?
<Aleyn> yes. of course.
<Aleyn> as long as you don't mind me using them.
<Vedran> not at all
* Vedran smiles, and will kiss you again
<Vedran> lets go.
* Aleyn nods against your kiss.
* Aleyn accompanies you to the bath...stopping just long enough to get some dubious street foods to eat on the way.
<Vedran> Did you want to get settled and I can bring you food?
<Aleyn> (oh, heh)
<Vedran> or I guess we can eat first
<Aleyn> I'll just have something quick now...
<Aleyn> I can always get something more later.
<Vedran> okay
* Vedran will get us a couple of skewers of fried...stuff
<Aleyn> (heh)
<Vedran> you have to have it with the sauce though
* Aleyn is perfectly happy to eat 'stuff' that comes from actual plants and animals on this plane @_@
<Aleyn> (even if they are dubious!)
<Vedran> (hee)
* Vedran smiles at your enthusiasm
<Aleyn> This might be the best meal ever.
<Vedran> if it is, I'm putting it down to the company.
* Aleyn nods, smiling.
* Aleyn will let you lead the way to the bathhouse as we eat.
* Vedran will get you the private room and manages to be calm and collected and reasonable when he says that we have business to discuss inside... though the bigbear at the desk doesn't bat an eye
<Vedran> (bugbear... but he could be a big bugbear :3)
<Aleyn> (hee)
* Aleyn gets a little more nervous when we get inside, but starts taking off his clothes.
* Vedran seems a little nervous too, but will get the water running for you
* Aleyn glances to you to see what you're doing
<Vedran> ...how hot?
<Aleyn> I, uh... pretty hot.
* Vedran smiles at that, blushing a bit
<Vedran> yeah
* Vedran agrees, looking over at you
* Aleyn smiles back.
* Aleyn peels off his shirt, then fumbles a bit with his belt.
* Vedran watches, then gets nervous, and looks away, stealing glances instead of staring
<Aleyn> ...Vedran, I... I'm...
<Aleyn> it's okay.
<Vedran> (I am imagining a large square stone tub sort of deal, and V perched on the side of it atm)
<Aleyn> (ok)
* Vedran nods
<Vedran> Sorry.
<Vedran> I just...
<Aleyn> no.. it's really okay.
* Vedran gets up and will come over to you again
<Aleyn> I'm just so happy to see you, I...
<Vedran> it's okay
* Aleyn looks down shyly
<Vedran> it is
<Aleyn> okay.
* Vedran reaches up to brush his hand against your beard
<Aleyn> do you like it?
<Vedran> well.
<Vedran> It could use a trim... >.>
<Aleyn> I could keep it if you like - I mean, trimmed a bit.
* Vedran nods
<Aleyn> or shave it - whatever.
<Aleyn> we were using it to keep track of time, heh.
* Vedran kisses you, nervous again
* Aleyn kisses back, gently, trying not to push too fast.
* Vedran wraps his arms around you, around your naked chest
* Aleyn 's heart is hammering.
* Vedran 's too
<Vedran> ...
* Aleyn looks down at you, searching
* Vedran mostly seems a little overwhelmed
<Vedran> need to check the water.
* Aleyn nods.
* Aleyn takes the time to get his boots off, then, and no doubt horribly disgusting socks, then unbuttons his trousers...
* Vedran makes a face at the socks
<Aleyn> sorry.
<Vedran> should have brought you shoes
* Vedran smirks
<Aleyn> oh, heh...
* Aleyn slips his pants off over hips that might be a touch skinnier than before.
<Vedran> it's ready...
* Aleyn nods.
* Vedran says, having added some things to the water as it ran, so that the room smells... well like Vedran, I guess :3
* Aleyn hesitates at his underwear, unsure.
<Aleyn> it smells nice... covers up the socks, even
* Aleyn jokes, trying to lighten the mood a little.
<Vedran> come on, then...
* Vedran smiles
<Aleyn> these too?
<Vedran> lets get you cleaned up
* Vedran nods
* Aleyn takes them off, then, giving you your first look at him naked.
<Aleyn> (well, first good look anyway
* Vedran takes a long good look, shifting a little on his perch
* Aleyn comes over to the tub to get in.
<Vedran> (nice and hot)
* Aleyn climbs into the hot water with a happy sigh.
<Aleyn> oh, perfect...
* Vedran smiles
* Aleyn sinks down low enough to duck his head under the water and get entirely wet
* Aleyn comes back up, shaking water out of his eyes.
<Vedran> (Its a pretty big tub - they do get large goblinoids in here, afterall. Big Bugbears :3 )
<Aleyn> (heh)
* Aleyn can stretch out his legs, then
* Vedran is a little spatter, but it dries almost instantly
<Aleyn> oh, sorry
<Vedran> don't worry about it
<Vedran> ...tell me about it?
<Aleyn> About the Elemental Chaos?
* Vedran nods
<Vedran> what happened?
<Aleyn> well... I don't know how much you know... we were checking to see if some cultists were using the riots in Thantopolis to escape
<Aleyn> they were doing a ritual when we got to the prison, and ... we interrupted them, but got sucked through.
* Vedran nods
<Vedran> we figured that much... Agy and Brenn did
* Aleyn nods.
<Aleyn> can I have the soap?
<Vedran> ...can I?
<Aleyn> oh..
<Aleyn> yes, of course.
<Vedran> okay
<Aleyn> um... anyway, it's pretty crazy there. We had some supplies in Roscoe, but we were still really unprepared.
* Vedran will sit behind you for now, lathering up the bar and rubbing it in to your arms and shoulders
* Aleyn tries to keep talking normally, but... it's hard @_@
<Aleyn> Even just in terms of finding things to eat.
<Aleyn> It's like... things change all the time, at least in unstable areas...
<Aleyn> sand turns to water turns to ice turns to ...solid water that's not ice...
<Aleyn> that sort of thing
* Vedran 's touch is both... practiced and uncertain, if that makes any sense
<Aleyn> Eventually we found some people... at least then we could get some food.
<Vedran> right
<Aleyn> but the first people we found, it turned out were trying to sell us out to the cultists.
<Aleyn> so they've got ties there too.
* Vedran is listening, trying to focus on your story

* Aleyn leans forward to let you wash his back.
<Aleyn> Right, yeah...
<Aleyn> specific groups, not just general cult activity, though - they talked about Kallista's father in particular.
<Aleyn> they knew about us already when we got there, as people who'd been causing him trouble.
* Vedran is leaning probably closer than he really needs to to do this, massaging you as much as washing you
<Aleyn> mm...
<Aleyn> mmmmanyway... we stole a barge from her and escaped.
<Aleyn> then we were travelling for ages along the ... floating river thing.
* Vedran nods
<Aleyn> like, a river in the air.
<Vedran> ....can I kiss you?
<Aleyn> ....yes please
* Vedran 's voice is both very close, and full of restrained desire, and when given permission he softly kisses the back of your neck
* Aleyn closes his eyes, breath catching in his throat
<Aleyn> I... I can tell you more later....
* Vedran 's tongue catches a few drops of water dripping down from your hairline
* Aleyn almost whimpers
<Vedran> ...okay...
* Aleyn turns in the tub to reach up and kiss you
* Vedran will resolve that awkward angle issue by just....climbing in there with you @_@
