Fade to Black

Oh god, a cigarette. Just when she thought that Indigo couldn't be any more amazing.

"Dear god, yes..." she moaned as she sat up slightly to accept it. He lit it for her and she drew the thick smoke into her lungs and closed her eyes. As he moved in next to her she rested her head on his chest.

"You're incredible. Thank you." she said, because she had to say something, although the words were not even close to adequate.

Wait! Since when is no panties slutty?

[aaaaahhhh, Chad *is* watching us :V And also - I think it depends on how short the dress is ]

"Oh my god! Chad!" Ronnie screamed, pulling the covers around herself.

Edit: Damnit, Heather beat me to it.

He lit a smoke for himself as well, shaking his head and smiling. "Couldn't have done it without you, babe..."

I kind of wish he could say that through the spider eye.

Ronnie purred contentedly, basking in the feeling of completeness that surrounded them. Even the dull aching between her legs was comforting, a mute reminder of their union.

"Is it... is it always like that?" she asked.

He hugged her lazily with one arm. Always like that! He'd never do anything else. No one would ever do anything else. The human race would cease to evolve, because they'd be too busy having mind-blowingly amazing sex, all the time. Shaking his head, he gave her a grin.

"I'm marking it down as a personal best. But there's only one way to find out if its a repeatable performance."

She laughed. She had just had two of the most intense experiences in her life and he was already up for round three. The man was incredible.

"repeatable, huh?" she said with a grin, "I hadn't pegged you for the scientific type."

"No? But I'm so into experimentation!"

It was strange - he should be wiped after something that intense, but he felt strangely energized. Still, there was one thing that could complete the setting. He sat up a little, and kissed her hair, and grinned wickedly.

"I am going to have a glass of wine. I can get you something else? And you can tell me..... what you want to do next."

Esperanza laughed as he sat up and streched out languidly on the bed, completely unconcerned with her nudity; her long limbs stretched sinuously like a cat. The air was warm and comfortable, and she casually took another drag on her cigarette before answering.

"Something with sugar. Lots of sugar." she said with a smile. She had a feeling she was going to need it.

She sat up casually as he left to get drinks and looked out the window onto the hotel's patio. It was such a beautiful night, crisp and warm with a nearly full moon hanging large and low on the horizon.

She looked around and realized she had no idea where her dress was. She really didn't want to get dressed anyway, but she also had no intention of scandalizing the entire neighborhood. She glanced over and saw an extra blanket sitting near the bed and quickly draped it around herself as she walked over to the patio door and opened it, breathing in the sweet Texas air as she smoked her cigarette and waited for him to return.

(Actually it is a waning gibbous moon, though still close to full. I checked for my other story :V)

There wasn't much on hand for sugary drinks, and he returned with a glass for himself and two cans. He didn't bother dressing before joining her on the balcony. It was warm and humid, but the heavy air was cleaner than he was used to. he set the drinks down on the ledge and leaned beside her, taking a drag off his own cigarette. The feeling of being energized persisted, but he also felt incredibly at ease.

"There's coke, some kind of energy drink Luke left, or I can make you coffee."

She smiled at his lack of shame and took one of the cold cans, opening it with a hiss.

"Coke is fine." she said.

"It's a beautiful night. I wish I could show you what the city looks like from up there" she said, gesturing towards the sky with a smile, "But somehow I don't think I could carry you."

"Carry me?" He hopped up to sit on the balcony ledge facing her. "I'm not that drunk!"

She laughed and took a last drag on her cigarette, stubbing it out on the railing.

"Get down off there." she said with a laugh, "You're gonna kill yourself."

He glanced down, knocking back a swallow of the slightly sour wine, and shrugged. He wasn't about to fall, and wasn't too worried if he did. "Where do you go to watch the city, then?"

Ronnie smiled and stepped up into the air. She hovered about a foot off the ground for a moment and then slowly began to rise until her feet were about level with the railing.

"To be honest, I don't get much chance to. But I've been able to step out once or twice. It's really nice about a thousand feet above campus on a night like this. Everyone should be able to fly. It's very... freeing."

The grin slowly stretched across his face as she hovered, looking down at him, wrapped only in the hotel blanket. But what she said was true..... so true. And so he stood to join her, stepping a foot backwards off the balcony ledge and hovering there, reaching out his hands.

"I like things that are freeing."

Ronnie's smile widened. It hadn't even occurred to her that Indigo might be able to fly as well. Maybe it was a common power; she was still so new at this whole children-of-the-gods thing.

She moved towards him and took his hands. As she did, a light wind caught the blanket she was wearing and it fell off her shoulders, landing in a heap on the balcony. If she noticed, she gave no sign of it.

Flying was one of the first things he'd learned he could do, and generally speaking, it remained the most antisocial. But that didn't mean the thoughts and ideas running through his head as he considered the amazing woman floating before him - floating with him - were anything new. It was just a matter of considering the practicalities.

"Mmmm.... I hate to say this. I really really do. But if we are gonna fly off anywhere, I'm gonna suggest you probably wanna put your dress back on. But..." He pulled her closer, testing the physics of moving with someone in the air, and happy to have her pressed against him again. "....maybe *just* your dress."

Ronnie laughed.

"Says the man with no pants?"

"Pfft, pants. I only have half a dress, but I will probably put that back on too." he kissed her again, letting his imagination run away with him for a moment as his hands roamed over her form, before pulling back and laughing. "Oh, fuck, I don't know, maybe it'll be fine. I just don't trust that flying off with a ravishing young lady such as yourself without being properly equipped is gonna lead to anything but....heartache, shall we say, or regrettable decisions. I want pockets, or, something."

Ronnie laughed once again. She had decided that one of the things she loved most about Indigo was his sense of humor. She had rarely ever met anyone who could make her laugh so much and so comfortably.

"Alright, alright..." she said, "I'll be right back."

She reluctantly pulled away from him, feeling his hands sliding off her body as she stepped back onto solid ground. She turned with a grin and disappeared back into the suite, emerging a few moments later wearing her slinky red dress (although in a somewhat more disheveled state) and carrying his kilt.

He settled back down on the ledge to wait for her, finishing off his wine and his smoke. His smile returned as soon as she walked back out. Seeing her all mussed up - hair touseled, dress wrinkled, just makde him want to do more terrible, naughty things. He pulled her close when she offered him her kilt, taking a moment to enjoy the feel of the wrinkled fabric against his skin, and the soft yielding of her flesh before wraping his kilt around him again.

Even with the fabric between them she felt as close to Indigo as ever when he pulled her into his arms. When he pulled the kilt around himself she reluctantly helped button it up, but when it was on him she had to admit that he looked incredibly sexy standing there shirtless with the light Texas breeze rustling his kilt and hair.

She stepped back into him and kissed him, her small hands pressed against his chest. She didn't know what the rest of the night had in store for her, but she knew that no matter what it would be every bit as perfect as the first part of the evening had been.
