Things Fall Apart

Delona tucked Kallista's boots underneath her cot and smiled to see her friend sleeping. Stifling a yawn, she debated following suit for a moment before dismissing the notion; she'd never get a decent rest if she didn't at least try to be comfortable.

Dumping her own boots beneath her cot, she shucked off her top and pants and stuffed them into a laundry bag next to her backpack before lying down. If people couldn't handle seeing her in her underthings then too bad for them. Delona untied her topknot and laced her fingers together beneath her head, softly humming a lullaby as she waited for sleep to claim her too.
